An Indiana college bus cease accident killed three youngsters who had been struck by a pickup truck as they had been about to board a faculty bus, state police say.
Sgt. Tony Slocum says 4 youngsters had been getting ready to board a Tippecanoe Valley Faculty Corp. bus about 7 a.m. Tuesday once they had been hit by the pickup truck on a two-lane street close to Rochester, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) north of Indianapolis.
Slocum says three of the kids died on the scene and the fourth was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. Their names and ages have not been launched. Slocum did not say which college the kids attend.
Police are interviewing the lady who was driving the pickup.
Slocum calls the accident a “horrible tragedy.”
