Peter McGuire, Scottish man missing for nearly 25 years may be in London, say police.
Peter McGuire was 21 when he left his home in High Valleyfield, near Dunfermline , for the last time on January 27, 1993.
A search was launched after he failed to return and police found his car near the Forth Road Bridge .
No other trace was found until police in East Sussex came across a homeless man using his name and date of birth a year ago.
And Police Scotland believe he may now be in west London and they are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan said: “We would ask that if Peter McGuire becomes aware of this appeal, then he comes forward to speak with us.
“Our priority is confirming if Peter is safe and well and we will not disclose his whereabouts to any other person against his wishes.”
Peter’s family said: “We all love you and worry every day. Please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should contact Dunfermline police station via 101.
