An act of kindness caught on camera is getting attention in Albuquerque.

It shows a young man at a fast food restaurant going the extra mile to help a couple. One customer wanted everyone to know about it.

From preparing orders to interacting with customers, Wendy’s employee Richard Wise-Attwood has always stood out.

“He’s very outgoing, very helpful with the customers,” Shift Supervisor Adalecia Garcia says.

Sunday, the spirited worker caught a customer’s attention. So much so, she took to social media to brag about the job well done.

“I didn’t know about the post on Facebook actually,” Wise-Attwood says.

The post shows pictures of Richard serving a blind couple who had come into the Wendy’s on Wyoming near Menaul to eat.

“I just took over the situation. I just asked them what they would like to drink, helped them get their drinks, sat them down,” Wise-Attwood explains.

In her post, the customer wrote about how Richard took care of the couple with love. She writes, he got them a good table, placed their food so they knew who’s burger was who’s. She says he also checked on them several times while they dined and even refilled their ketchup when they needed it.

He says he was just being him.

“They were cool, they were real nice, didn’t bother anybody, they didn’t ask for help. I just did it because I knew they needed it,” Wise-Attwood says.

He had no idea pictures were being taken: “I was like, what?” Wise-Attwood says. “The lady said I did a good job and I was nice. I thought it was just a good compliment.”

The woman wrote in her post that we need more “Richard’s” in this world. Richard just hopes this good deed will lead to more.

“I’m hoping that it does show people that even if you do work at an establishment such as Wendy’s or McDonald’s, customer service will show somebody a good day and they’ll pass it on to someone else,” Wise-Attwood says.

Richard says he’s been working at this Wendy’s for about 10 months. He also has a young son.
