YouTube HQ shooting – A female suspect in a shooting at YouTube’s headquarters is dead.
The woman suspected of shooting multiple people at YouTube’s campus in San Bruno has been killed, reports said Tuesday afternoon.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that there have been fatalities from the shooting.
Google posted a statement to its Twitter account saying that it would comment when information became available.
The city manager of San Bruno said that there is no immediate threat to the public but warned people to stay away from the area.
Footage from the area showed FBI agents on the scene.
Eyewitnesses told a local NBC affiliate that there was a large police presence in the area. One person said they heard about 15 shots fired from inside the building which led to a stream of people fleeing the building at about 12:45 pm PT.
Out of the 97 mass shootings reported between 1982 and February 2018, only two shootings were perpetrated by women, according to Statista. Today’s shooting would mark just the third time in that period that a single woman was responsible for a mass shooting.
