HYPEBEAST recently said “Everything is a slipper now,” and we weren’t wrong. Depending on your taste, the concept designer Keegan McDaniel has rendered something that’s either incredible or unstomachable, introducing the Crocs x Nike Air Force 1 clog hybrid.
This rending imagines what the legendary AF1 would look like if it was married to the sensibilities of a Croc, and the result is unique, to say the least. McDaniel includes a number of smart design elements to his imaginary pair, such as utilizing the sneaker’s Swoosh to become the strap that forms the heel support on the Croc. Similarly, the AF1’s toe box perforations have been enlarged to nod to those found all over a pair of Crocs.
McDaniel keeps the Air Force 1’s signature sole unit intact, and adds finishing details such as its lace dubrae and Nike branding on the tongue to round out the pair. The Crocs x Nike Air Force 1 is imagined in classic colorways such as black and white, but also appears in Crocs’ colorways like green, too.
